DAYTON OHIO

We are on Wright Patterson Air Force Base in Dayton Ohio. Our neighbors from San Antonio have been on the same route as we are, except time frame is different. We did hook up with them when we were in Plymouth Rock, Massachusetts and now here in Ohio. Ken and Carole are the ones to get us involved in RVing. We enjoyed seeing them again.

Right out my back window is a K-9 military school. It is interesting to watch them train the dogs.

This base is in 3 sections and miles away from each other. We have a fleet of C 5's, transport planes about 4 blocks away and we sit outside and watch them take off. They are huge planes. You feel them (vibration) before you see them.

We went to the Museum which is in 3 hangers. Starting with the Wright Brothers, WWI.

WW ll. Koren, Vietnam, and the Cold War.

Who did more for the morale of our men and women during the war, but Bob Hope.

When John was in the Air Force he flew in a B29 in the nose as a Bombardier during the Koren War. Click on the picture to see his front seat.

The Little Boy was dropped on Japan.

John joined the Air Force and was issued the Army green uniform then went to Air Force Blue.
